We view the Habitat experience as having three main pillars, each supporting our members to live better. Where you work, reside, with whom and how you spend time has a profound impact. To thrive, we believe those details must be intimately considered.

Each Habitat location is locally relevant in its feel and function, but we are a network of communities connected by our values, interests and missions to live better. In each location we provide the same resources to make achieving health, balance and greatness imminent.

When we use the word community at Habitat, we don’t mean it in the abstract. Our members are connected physically, digitally, intellectually and through their values. But what sets us apart is how intentionally curated we are. We take pride in harvesting communities of thoughtful and hardworking leaders who encourage stronger relationships with each other, the Self and the natural world.

Our approach to community

Our community foundations emanate our core values, which you can read over here. However, what we aim to cultivate primarily among our members are these sentiments for personal growth.

Our lives can only be enriched by curiosity. Our members bear open minded attitudes toward work and play, and think deeply about how to solve real problems. Our community nurtures growth both personal and professional.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. We believe in compassion not just toward each other, but toward the planet at large. This notion is the foundation upon which we have assembled our entire ethos.

We champion connection in every sense. Our community thrives off of open communication, honest intentions, diligent teamwork and an understanding that everything should and can exist in harmony.

In order to deepen the connection of our community with that of the locals, we organise periodic social missions where are members are able to give back and understand more about their surrounds.

Community In-Action

You may have seen the word ‘community’ thrown around at liberty. At Habitat, we don’t use it lightly, nor in the abstract. We take care in the way we bring our members together, to enrich their lives so they, in turn, may enrich the lives of others. Here are few examples of our ‘community’ in action.

Beach Cleanups

Since opening our doors in Bali, we’ve hosted regular beach clean ups. We provide our members with all the right gear, and always throw in refreshments and post-cleanup get togethers.

Community Trip to Mt. Batur

Mt Batur is one of Bali’s climbable active volcanoes. The views from the peak are breath taking and, according to most members who’ve taken the hike, worth getting out of bed at 4am for.

Habitat Tent @ Odyssey Fest

We like getting involved in other great ideas, too. Between workouts, attendees of the inaugural Odyssey MVMT Fest in Bali came to catch shade and provocative talks under our Habitat tent.

Volleyball Tournament

We held a charity volleyball tournament on the local courts in Canggu, Bali. We’ll admit, things got competitive, but all in the name having fun and raising funds (for reforestation in Sumatra).

When I moved to Bali, I knew I was entering a new chapter of my life and I am so grateful I landed in a Habitat Villa home. I was welcomed into an inspiring, conscious community right away, majorly supporting this new chapter of my life pursuing my passions as an entrepreneur living and loving life, growing more into my best self daily. Members of the community have become my family here!
