Habitat Learning Pod is a community-centric learning provider on a mission to better align modern modes of learning, living and collaboration.
We offer the best in education, with a world class curriculum, small classes and personalized tuition by internationally qualified, strategically selected and passionate teachers.
Our aim is to provide physical spaces that support the Self, others, and the environment to thrive and evolve in sync. We exist to see a future in which humankind embraces its role and potential for design within broader ecosystems and cultivates mutually beneficial relationships that allow both human and non-human communities to flourish.
Our accelerated global pace prioritises convenience and efficiency over most of the things we truly value. Over time, this has resulted in the simultaneous erosion of natural environments and the breakdown of community structures. Here presents an opportunity to reset and re-imagine how we can build happiness and prosperity in ways that prioritise resilience over ‘quick fixes’.
We all exist as part of multiple social, built, and natural ecosystems. Every day, we have the chance to be more intentional about our choices - both as individuals and collectives - and create better habits. We have the chance to leverage our unique gifts to develop without destroying. And we have the chance to work better together, so that ultimately, we can live better together.
The chance for humanity to live better, starts with our children learning better. We believe that from the smallest lessons to the biggest, the way that we educate our children will ultimately decide the fate of humanity. If we can teach our children to make choices that serve their own purpose and result in positive outcomes for their communities and the planet, the world will be a better place. It is on this belief that Habitat Learning Pod was founded and it is with this mission that we grow.
As a company Habitat acknowledges it isn’t perfect. But we also acknowledge our role in driving community solutions to support these changes. Ecosystems are webs of relationships and, as a platform for bright humans and bright ideas, our focus is on how we can make each of those relationships count.
If our mission resonates with you, then let’s partner in helping each other achieve it.
We are committed to creating the best possible learning environment for your loved ones, along with important life skills, including the ability to think critically, listen with discernment, adapt to an ever-changing environment, make responsible choices and decisions and to tackle each fresh new day with enthusiasm, attention and presence.
“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”
Our intention is to always be attuned to ourselves and our surroundings. To seek a deeper understanding of our effect on the world. To not turn a blind eye where convenient but instead to turn the questions towards our own actions.
“I speak to everyone in the same way, whether he is the garbage man or the president of the university.”
We have committed to a set of standards for living and each day we show up for those standards. We take action where and when necessary, understanding that inaction is the most profound contributor to the social paradigms we seek to shift.
"Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step."
As ideas-oriented people, we embrace diversity across all spectrums. We welcome new thoughts, inputs and narratives in pursuit of breeding new ways of thinking that innovate improved solutions and approaches to problem.
“He who is different from me does not impoverish me - he enriches me. Our unity is constituted in something higher than ourselves.”
Growth is most powerful when achieved mutually. Whether as a team, a family, a community or just between human and environment. When we work together with the shared goal of a harmonious existence, the possibilities are endless.
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style."
At the heart of every functional community is diversity. Diversity of skills, ideas, experiences and wisdom. We don’t race against each other, but rather, choose to view the success of those around us as an opportunity to be inspired, while we stay on track to achieving our own missions.
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

Newton’s third law states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This in mind, our ethos at Habitat is simple: minimise harm, maximise good. In an effort to tip the scale toward the positive end, we channel our energy a few different ways.
Habitat Learning Pod is passionate about creating a better world and a better future, and we recognise the value of all children in this mission, no matter the circumstances they are born into. Through our principle of One:One, we work with local community organisations to give a child education for each child enrolled with Habitat Learning Pod. Each charity or NGO we collaborate with undergoes a thorough yet fair audit, during which we vet their effectiveness, transparency, and sustainability practices. This enables us to protect your dollar, and also holds us accountable to living up to our own standards.
We closely monitor our community program’s impact on our home island of Bali and are accountable for measuring the results over time. At the end of each year, you’ll receive a report detailing our education focused contributions and the children we support as a result of your family’s membership.
We’ve hardwired impact into our model so that through your membership we can invest in partner projects that are regenerating the earth. Each charity or NGO we collaborate with undergoes a thorough yet fair audit, during which we vet their effectiveness, transparency, and sustainability practices. This enables us to protect your dollar, and also holds us accountable to living up to our own standards.
We closely monitor our community’s footprint and make carbon offsets by donating to a key reforestation and wildlife protection program in North Sumatra. Leuser National Park is home to orangutans, elephants, rhinos and tigers, all at danger of losing their tribes to illegal poachers and loggers. You can rest easy knowing that by living in your Habitat, you are preserving theirs.
In each of the locations we integrate a community, we do our due diligence by investigating the local challenges and how best we can make direct, positive contributions. The challenges are always unique as are the missions. Whether they be social assignments or charity events, we always offer our members the opportunity to get involved and further assimilate themselves.
Recreational sport is a timeless approach to camaraderie. Since we are a community that prioritises connection as part of a holistic idea of wellbeing, we host regular social sports tournaments. Teams from within our community pay a small entry free, which is donated to charity, and locals play for free. We often secure local referees and use the opportunity to practice our language and cultural skills.
As the products we offer require physical spaces, we aim to make design choices that minimise any disservice to the environment. We are always seeking new knowledge and information in this arena and as we evolve, so too will our methods and systems. (We also welcome any and all useful suggestions to further reduce our footprint.)
All habitats are equal. The wood used inside our fully-furnished Habitat homes - whether for our tables, chairs, beds, or desks - is entirely reclaimed and recycled. By giving this wood another new and lasting function, our aim is that no further trees are put at risk of being cut down or seized from the habitats of other creatures who reside on this earth.
